I'd better say au revoir for a while now...don't think I'll be around the forum for a while.

Unfortunately the missus is in hospital. Has been for 3 days since she collapsed and had a rather nasty bleed in her head (sub-arachnoid, grade II, for anyone who's interested in details) she's still on a ventilator, although she's had her aneurysm clipped, so hopefully the worst of it is over. (I f***ing hope so, cos the past 2 days have been the worst in my life, I think...no...I'm sure they are). Life can be a bitch...and hopefully you don't then just die :(

I might get to a PC every now and then for some music chitchat for some light relief and distraction. I don't get much of a chance though - pretty well 24 hours by her bed watching the machine do its job keeping her alive (and all the other tubes etc stuck in her head.)

I work in the trade....sometimes I wish I didn't have the inside knowledge. It's bloody hard to think positively in my worse moments - I reckon she'll be OK in the long run though...but life really does f**king suck sometimes.

:( just about says it all at the moment.

See you all soon I hope.

Aw f**k.

Hi Kritikon,
I am sorry to here of your wife's condition. I have lifted her up to God in prayer. I have prayed that He would give her body the strength to recover, the doctors would be given the wisdom to know how to be effective in their treatment of her, even beyond their training and experience, the medications would be effective for her recovery and that He would comfort and strengthen you and your family while going through this difficult time and that she would have no lasting effects from this when she has recovered. Please keep us all posted as to her progress. Believing great things.
Yours in Christ,
Aubie

That really is awful, kritikon. If it helps at all, you and your wife have my deepest sympathies. Good luck and take care.

Great Gods, that's bad news.
Lots of strength to both of you, Kritikon.

I´ve been where you are now Krit (my wife has myastenia gravis) ten days in coma with mechanical breathing assistance, after that I took her to the DF of my country to the REAL specialists.
It all happened when my daughter was 1 MONTH OLD, so you get the picture.
Do the most you can and wait, it´s the f****ng destiny.
Two and a half year later WE can talk about that as an old story.
Best wishes

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

went through this with my mother about 10 years ago now. it's hard now to recall just how intense the simplest things can be.

take care of your self and her. something as simple as sitting in the same room and being with each other is so full. allow yourself to cut everything extra out for as long as you need.
