I just called IK multimedia ( california I think ) and they told me that Amplitube 2 is to be released on Septembre 1st 2005!!! When I told the person that we are already Sepetembre 9, she indicated that sep1 is the only date she has for me!
Anyone have any idea at all when this software will be out? If it is really good, I am selling my POD and buying it.
Anyone knows when it is _really_ going to be released?!!

I heard the September 1 story from IK as well.
I also heard from Squids on Aug 26 that a news release will happen in mater of days.
But as we all know it's now Sep 9 and there is nothing to found.
By the way before Sep1 there was Aug1 and that was the date I got from IK in Jun.

...They got to get their act together these people. Squids seems to have a "functional" beta version for a while now, and they demoed a version back in January 2005! What the heck are they waiting for?!!

I dunno, I recieved the "dreaded" dongle with protools mpowered..........it's not that bad.
BUT! If I had to have like 4 of em........that would suck.
Now, I want to bring this question up again.......isn't the reason for high software prices "alegedly" because of piracy? With a dongle, don't you reduce piracy to about null?
Then why the F.... are the G...D.......ED prices so high!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????????????????????????????

I too take issues with people saying that cracks jack up software prices, then when companies use stuff like iLok's prices remain the same if not increase. As far as I know that particular dongle has not been cracked, but no one using it is cutting prices (in fact they're the one's selling the most expensive plugs). I'm not taking about IK here, just expanding on a point.

maybe a dongle will give company some time,but sooner or latter it will be cracked,so i don't know what's the point...

Amplitube 2 will be be out 2009, and their bass plugin in 2012. that´s just a matter of fact ..
