Different approach at untriggering MIDI pitch control in sx1

Hi

I want to control the pitch of an already triggered pad-type note played by a VST instrument M42 Nebula.

This can be done in Nebula with CC#16 (not via Pitchbend midi controller but it makes no difference).

The tune range in this vsti is in range -12 to +12, semitone steps.

Now, when using CC you are doomed to -127 to +127 scale, which makes the pitchbend changes in the midi lane not apparent to a human. The tuning CAN be done only there is much messing around. F.e. you can create a separate midi lane, with each of the events tuning the triggered note via CC#16 to the desired pitch.

What about some way around?

There is no Glide option in Nebula, so it is not enough just to make it play the subsequent notes, MB slightly ovrlapping because then you have them triggered again.

Hence my question: is there a MIDI trick to mimic the Glide function when it's missing in an instrument, or maybe have the notes NOT triggered but only change their pitch with piano roll notes?
