Miroslav Issue

Hi,

I seem to have broken my miroslav somehow - i cant select any instrument without it freezing my whole computer.

i Have to do a hard reboot every time i try to select one. I'm using Tracktion 2 and if i load up a previously saved song, it will load up the proper instruments and they play fine. Actually, even with the computer hung, it still plays fine if I have my input set to trigger one of the miroslav tracks. That is the only thing that tells me the entire pc isnt totally dead - just the interface it would seem.

It also seems to be checking for the dongle every time you load a new instrument so i suspect that might be some part of the issue, but i'm not sure.

This is only recent past few days now. I've recently installed a new usb wireless keyboard and extra pci video card - but i've since uninstalled these to see if its the issue. Also, removed any extraneous processes and any of the drivers involved in the two new entries.

This is the only application i have that does this - kontakt and everything else i have installed work fine.

Any suggestions would be good before i have to do a full OS reinstall here.

Oh - also, i have reinstalled miroslav twice so that didnt seem to help.

Your best bet is to contact IK tech support. They'll run through the problem with you one to one and hopefully get you back up running and making music soon.

OK. Thanks Kim. Just thought someone else may have run into it and already debugged it. Its really an odd one.

It sounds to me like it could be a hardware or software conflict. It could be the new hardware you installed - sometimes drivers and other stuff can be left behind, even after you've uninstalled the hardware.

Anyway, contact IK tech support - they'll be able to go through it with you.
