Does anyone have any idea of what program is used for the publication of drumming notation? The reason I refer to 'drum notation' is because the common way in which it is produced is with every bar being the exact same size regardless of what is contained within in it. I have discovered that Sibelius is not capable of doing this, which is really quite astounding considering the stature of the piece of software. This is very annoying as I have to be producing drumming notation as we speak. I've contacted a bunch of drum book publishers and they have taken great pride in being profoundly useless and treating me like KGB.

I know this isn't exactally the perfect forum to ask this but I don't really know where else to try and I'm getting quite desperate.

Thanks for any help

I think I've won the bet :hihi:

Make the question easier, does anyone know if Finale supports this?

I know that Finale supports changing bar size. I'm not sure, however, if you can set all bars to have the same size.
Try the Finale forum at http://forum.makemusic.com/. It's a very good forum, they've always been able to answer my questions...

I'm not totally sure Equilibrium, but you may want to investigate Yamaha's XG Works Software? I know it's pretty extensive in it's MIDI, and is able to score it as well. Now whether it translates to drum notation, I'm not sure? But in the little dealings I've had with it so far (thanks to Orion and VSTi's et al  ) I think it does?

Not even sure if this old link works for it still... http://www.yamaha.co.uk/xg/index.htm
Nope, guess not. :(
