i'm wondering if anyone could steer me in the right direction i'm looking to listen to some new artists in drum n' bass and house but i'm really out of the loop and havent been listening to much music in about a year.
i like LTJ Bukem's style and would like to hear more artists like this. in the House vein i'm a big fan of the 80s disco funk stuff like Trentemoller's Le Champaigne(i first heard it on a Naked Music compilation) and DFA's Orange Alert which is pretty different than Trentemoller.
any good suggestions well appreciated - new albums or new artists.

ah cool stuff. I have only heard of Roni Size(of course) so that should be helpful. I should add that I also used to like High Contrast and I LOVED London Elektricity (stuff like Round the Corner is incredible music), i think that's all Hospital Records I should check out what they're up to these days. Thanks Chase I can always count on your young blood

shit i forgot about high contrast! Did you get your hands on their track, "Return of Forever"? It's magic. Also try to get "Usual Suspects - Doorways"

yeah Return of Forever was quite a few years ago. I think he was really young when he first blazed onto the scene. never heard of usual suspects either looks cool.

Well, if you like LTJ Bukem his label, Good Lookin Records http://www.discogs.com/label/Good+Looking+Records, is probably another good choice. I just picked up the Seba CD, Producer 06, and have been really impressed.
I also 2nd the vote for Pieter K - Everything All The Time had some great tracks on it.
And speaking of Hospital, here's a free Cyantific mix:

I'm a much bigger fan of Teebee, though, so here's a mix by him as well:

^^those are the more intense DnB. Not much like LTJ Bukem at all, i would say (well except hype and photek every once in a while)

well i dont always want stuff exactly like LTJ so some of the harder names are cool too. I know a lot of 4hero stuff that is actually lighter than LTJ in some way with the luscious orchestral work they do. and of course some of it is harder than LTJ. I liked the Bugz in the Attic stuff too which is totally different I guess you call all that 2 step
