hello.. i installed cubase sx3 a couple of days ago (till now i've been working in fl studio, and before that in reason).. and i'm kinda confused with all the stuff in it, and i have a pretty stupid question :).. how do you work with samples in cubase? do you have to have a vst sampler or something like that?
and how do you make rhythm? you have to have a vst rhythm machine? ... thanx :)...
what's the best vst sampler? and the best vst rhythm machine?

lo spinnach. it was other way round for me...i always used cubase and found fl studio confusing!!...anyways samples in cubase:
you can as you say use a vst sampler (theres loads about, freeware/shareware n such, i use sampletank 2 or halion. or you can import samples straight onto an audio track, cut and arrange them as you please. Drums or Rythm, again theres loadsa freeware/share drum samplers about and theres one that comes with cubase called LM4 i thinks, ill assume you dont know about the free synths/drum machine in cubase, if you look at the top menu goto devices/vst instruments, a little menu appears, you can choose your synth here, set the midi channel up and away you go. hope this helps
kev.
