FL Studios make each instrument correspond to playlist numbr

I use a MC909. If import a midi file into FL it puts them all in the current playlist number I am at. Is there a way to make each midi channel correspond to the same playlist number so I can see all of my work at the same time instead of having to copy each one to the appropriate playlist channel. I hope this makes sense. It would then be easier for me to work.
Thanks for any replies.

I mean on the step sequencer. Make instrument number 1 be controlled by pattern 1 in the playlist and so on. I want to see all of my piano rolls at once then sequence them by number in the playlist like in cubase or other sequencers.

i think you can use a layer channel for this purpose, read up in the manual about the layer channel, it may help

in the import midi dialog, you can pick which midi channel you are importing each time you import.
I don't know of an easier way than this.

So If I import 16 midi channels I would have to import them 1 at a time to each channel on the playlist then? I was just hoping there would be an easier way.
