So, what are the upcoming SR drums/loops like?

Folks, help me to pull the string,
@Squids: Give up and tell us more about it. :hihi:

Squids said, in a market place thread, that something exciting is coming up and it's about grooves and beats. I remember that we were already joking about Squids RMX in the past.
I wonder if SR is coming up with a loop collection or if it's more thing in the spirit of RMX and/or GURU, which have a whole engine that includes change of patterns, effects and loops and the possibility to use it as sample player.

It's not an instrument, it is library-based. We are announcing it at AES though. I could say more but I really should be discrete. ;) :o  :)

 I was hoping we'd get the ST brother LoopTank

What I'd actually love to have is a mixture of GURU and Stylus.
Stylus' beats seem to be more my piece of cake, GURU is what I'm looking for when it comes to functions of the engine and working with MIDI and Audio patterns.

Talking about Grooves. What would be the most efficient way to get my Groove Capsule loops over to GURU for cool rearrangement of the beats?

I am getting Guru soon so I will have a better answer for that later. Meanwhile, FXpansion can probably answer it pretty good too! ;) The Groove Capsule material is in Wave so I think you can just load it in and go.

Does this mean that the new drum library will be taking the Discrete Drums approach and be not just stereo loops but multitrack? That would be cool, and it would also make a great Sampletank library-player with the multitrack drums set up as combis routed to different outputs.

i've been thinking lately that IK should develop some sort of derivative of sampletank and make a little drum sampler/one shot thing similar to how Battery is related to Kontakt. This would be cool for housing the tons of drum samples they work on.

It would be nice if they could be imported into Battery 2 though... :D

hmmm, "these titles" plural, and if they're giving away 300 megs on the demo CD, the product(s) must be fairly substantial

a week away and Squids hasn't been ramping up the hints as he usually does ... very mysterious

ok, telebunke, your turn :D

Well, let's see... If you like rockin' funky swing struttin' soulful old school jazzy bad-ass beats played by incredible players (including some that have played with Prince, Lauren Hill, P Diddy, Cameo, Sarah McGlaughlin, Paul McCartney, Steely Dan, Yes, Peter Gabriel, King Crimson, Genesis, Tears For Fears, Pat Metheny Group, Sting, Chick Corea, David Byrne, Herbie Hancock, Al Di Meola, Mike Stern, Blues Brothers, Brian Setzer Orchestra and more)... well, then maybe this is for you! :D
