So here's a riddle for you .. what's as easy to use as Tracktion, as graphic un-intensive as Cool Edit, straight-forward, clean, resource extensive, and hosts VST instruments?
Am I an idiot or is there nothing out there that fits this description?
I love Cool Edit and have used it for a couple of years.. now that I like VSTs I use Tracktion v2, but it's too bubbly/fisher-price looking and not to mention power-hungry for my poor P4A 1.6 ..
Is there something I'm overlooking?
Thanks.

tracktion isn't cpu hungry....it's the plugins. upgrade your processor, use plugins that require less cpu resources, or learn to bounce tracks. that means you have about 3 options. if you go get another host and try running vst plugins you will have the same problem.
Always remember that others may hate you but those who hate you don't win unless you hate them. And then you destroy yourself.
