Exiter recommendation wanted

Hi there,
can anyone recommend an exciter? I'm looking for a VST version (for bass treatment) as well as for a DirectX exciter (for mastering).

voxengo has a few plugins out for that. You should give the demos of LF-max, LF-punch and harmoniEQ a try.
