Just wondering if anyone from the UK has ordered from DV and can offer any insight to me.

I am trying to order something from them and whenever I go to purchase the item it always shows the delivery address as my home address, which is not what I want. I work full time and the only way I will be able to receive the goods is if they deliver to my workplace, yet there doesn't seem to be an option to change the delivery address. Surely there is a way to deliver to a different address? Every other site I buy from allows this, so DV must do also?

I did email them last week, but never got a response (I would take the moral high ground and not buy from them for ignoring me, but they are the only ones with this offer, so I guess I have no choice) :(

ive bought stuff from DV in the past and not had any problems ... although i do vaguely remember having to contact the couriers rather than DV themselves to arrange delivery to work ...

... might be wrong though ...

The problem is almost certainly that you're trying to use a credit or debit card. DV are a very reliable dealership but if you want sense out them use the phone.

What's the point in having an internet shop and email addresses if you end up having to use the phone? Never had to do this with any other online shop, so why should I have to with this one?

Thanks to the others who managed to respond in a sensible manner...

Because you're trying to use a credit card with delivery to another address. How about if I used your card for that? Every mail order dealership on the net in the UK is the same - you must deliver to the billing address if the customer is not present at the time of the transaction. Use the phone.

This isn't true. I have ordered from Dolphin Music, Edirol and Etcetera in the past and all of them have delivered the goods to my work address when using a credit card...Amazon have done this a number of times too.

Just phone them, sparky. :idiot:

Is it your first order? Some companies dont deliver to another address other than your home address until you've ordered with them at least once before.

HI

I have spent thousands over the years at DV - pretty reassonable people.

They are a big set-up - I would phone them - you could argue all night about them not answering your e-mail or the site not working the way you had hoped it would, if the offer is to your liking just phone up and do the deal.

Flipper.

Phone em, the amount of time and energy you'll waste sorting it like this onlineis a fraction of what it'll take on the dog n bone.

I use DV far too often for my own good, although I tend to visit the stores than buy online. Most online stores these days will only deliver to the cardholder's address. I have in the past had things delivered to work (not from DV though) but had to jump through hoops to get it done - sending faxes with ID on Company headed paper.

If you do order online to home and you aren't in when the delivery is attempted then you would normally have a card left asking you to collect the item from the courier's depot.
