I find that when I load it in a song, the next time I open that song, Echomania starts off on a major feedback trip - never ending and getting progressively louder.
Anybody else finding this with this plug? Did you find a workround for it?

It's a great bit of kit with some great effects, but I'm finding it unusable at the moment just because I can't open a song that uses it without having to close the tune down straight away again, or remove it from the tune altogether. :?
It's OK when I first load it into a tune but when I reopen that tune, it all goes to pot. (pun possibly intended :hihi: )
Hope I'm making myself clear enough here - if not try it yourself, see if you get the same problem. :help:

Using Orion 6.1.

I guess either nobody uses this plug or nobody else has this prob? :?

I tested it out in Audiomulch, saving and then reloading, but didn't get the feedback squall. Might be an Orion issue with Synthedit plugins.

One thing about Echomania, it was made in a 2-year-old version of Synthedit, and there were some bugs with the delay module over the years that have now been fixed. Maybe email Interruptor and ask them to recompile in the latest version?

no probs here?
in orion or ext,you have ext as well dont you?if so try it in there see if its a problem.or it may be something to do with your settings on the delay in the song maybe?

check the hi pass above the master feedback knob
if the hi pass is set real low it feedsback immensley, but it is controllable at least?other than that i am afraid its fine here.

Thanks guys. :)

Just to clarify - I'm using it in a track with the preset 'bpm sync: half beat'.
When the tune's loaded first off, that's when I get the problem.

I've found a work-round though - change the preset as soon as it starts to feed back (ie immediately) to the top one ('complex delays') then change it back to bpm sync and that solves the problem.
A bit round the houses and a pain, but at least it works.
I get the same thing with the presets 'lo-fi', 'delay fading to left' and 'multitap 2 beats long' (although it's more gradual in this one), but not with the other presets.

Maybe you could try these presets attached to an instrument, save and reload and see if you get the same?

vurt - yes, I have ext (free version) but never really use it.

Oh, the hi-pass is set to 49 by default in the 'bpm sync' preset. Any help to you?

Maybe contacting Interrupter might be an option... :)
