There's short info about each song. I found interesting that he is mentioning the software he's using.

for example:

Surfing
"I overlaid tracks of my vocals mixed with virtual vocals from a software package called Cantor, which has a very robotic sound, and this track popped out."

But... I don't know... it's a little bit weird for me that a musician like him did this:

Slipstream
"I contacted FL Studio and asked if they minded me working on one of the demo songs on their FruityLoops software, because I really liked the riff. They said, absolutely, yes please, and that turned into Slipstream."

should i open up threads in hosts and instruments now in the vein of 'Oldfield uses FL and the demo songs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!' ?

listened to tubular bells the first time a few months ago. was nice, but not my thing at the time... sounded kind of cheesy to me. i like the alan parson's project and pink floyd, but oldfield didn't do much for me.

(i think it is legitimate for him to be inspired, though... and sounds quite down to earth and humble, but of course i may be wrong..

)

Personally, I like Hergest Ridge, Omadawn, and Incantations the best of all his stuff. He has definately been a pioneer. He was one of the first people I had heard of that was self contained.

I just love T.B., got all albums including the DVDs.

I tried to listen to the songs, but somehow it just won't work with Winamp. I tried to make it open MP but it wouldn't... guess I will run to the local CD shop tomorrow and check it out there instead.

I really didn't wanted to tell that's not legitimate to get inspired in such a way. It seems that I've just put "weird" not on the right place. Maybe the right word was "intriguing".
I'm sorry - my english is not very good.

And... yeah... I love TB2 - it's one of my all-time favourites.

Just had a listen, finally... but I didn't like the "Shade" songs that much. Some sound kinda like EuroDance, maybe the beats and riffs... also that Cantor thing, hated it... what I loved about Mike was actually the real-voices he recorded, not this Cantor crap...

But overall, nice songs there, can't wait to buy the album. Maybe the songs will get used on my mind, and I may start liking the others with time.
