Check it out. http://www.ikmultimedia.com/

and www.amplitube.com

Now how cool is that? You can hook up 6 expression pedals (and good quality ones, not the cheap built-in kind). This plus AmpliTube 2 and a CPU (oh yeah, it doesn't even need a monitor hooked up 8) ) is one BAD ASS system! I know some of you have been waiting a while for this but it's getting closer and I for one am really excited about it. This line of products is hot! A lot of fun.

Check out all of the latest info on AmpliTube 2 in the news as well as AmpliTube Stomp I/O. Have fun! I've seen it, touched it, felt it and it is glorious! :D

Squids,

On the ik site the upgrade from LE specifically states cakewalk, except my le is not from cakewalk, its from EMU - does that still qualify?

Other sites seem to not be specific about the cakewalk le bit.

And secondly, does it qualify if you buy amplitube 1 from locations other than the ik site?

thanks

Yes, all of those qualify!

Man, I give up. I might as well just hand my wallet over to you guys to take care of it for me.

I just hope the amp emulations are nowhere near as fake as the tits on the bird in the promo.

It was funnier the first time bro. ;) How much mileage you think you can get from the same joke on the same web site? Just kidding of course.

Anyway, hopefully she'll be joining us at the NAMM or Frankfurt IK booth. She's a popular Swedish model btw. I was even in Sweden around the time of that photoshoot (but no I wasn't there... was touring the dealers there).

So the pedal can work as a standalone like a POD or tonelab? Meaning no computer latency, but it can be controlled from the computer like the editors for POD, et al.

Post

No, no, it needs a CPU ( computer or box ) to run. The application executes on the host's CPU. You dont need a sound card though because this thing acts like one :)

How does that translate into latency? I guess we can assume it will be using asio drivers, but will I be able to run it at 2ms latency on a 2400+

Thanks for the info.

Post

Well, as far as I can tell, it is a USB device, but does have SPDIF. If you want to use it as a USB device then 2ms is way too low of a latency. You can still manage < 10 ms even with a USB card though. Now if you use the SPDIF to hook it up, then yes, maybe you can go as low as 2ms. Time will tell.

Right. You don't need a sound card or a screen even. Just a CPU box. Pretty easy way to go live. You can even pick up one of those inexpensive Mini mac deals for like $500 and go.

Sounds great!!!

What will be the price of the Stomp I/O???

Will it change presets faster than Amplitube 1 so you can use it as a live setup?

Post

Man! Amplitube must suck big time that you need tits to sell it.
Gimme some audios without the porn, please.
