hy there
im searching for a host where i can load a vsti and play it with my pc keyboard or my midi controler..(use it like its a standalone...like i can play the pro53 from native instruments)
i tried that Chainer demo that suposedly is good but it has some disadvantages..for example when i edit the vsti (eg. click on cutoff) the main Chainer window "looses focus" and i cant play with the pc keyboard anymore..and i have to click on the chainer window to be able to play the synth with the keyboard again...this is totaly agains the workflow if u understand what i mean.
is there a host that opens the vsti in one window and this window is active through my parameter editing and playing in the same time.....
thanx in advance for the replies

tbh, I don't use chainer, I use Console.
But from what I remember of chainer, put trollo in the first slot, and pro53 in the second slot down. Set the chainer audio engine going.
get the gui of trollo up, and select the double manual preset, you now have a double manual pc keyboard. As I recall, you can close the ui.
Get the pro53 ui up, and twiddle
that should be it..

SAVIhost is cool and free.
It transforms a VSTi of your choice in a standalone synth. Supports ASIO/MIDI, obviously.
