I attempted to register for the Free DVD soundset upgrade but when I put my serial number in it said I did not qualify?
As a quick background..I was part of the whole ST2 and Sonik synth group buy. I also purchased the additional 2.0XL upgrade for an additional $99. My license however says I am only registered as a 2.0L owner. Is this what the problem is?
I also thought that those who were involved in the group buy would be eligible for the engine and the DVD soundset..at least those who bought the XL upgrade. I assume that those individuals cannot reigster via the link for the DVD soundset upgrade but have to contact sales directly?

I'm in the same boat, got ST2L + the XL upgrade with the group buy.
I'm sure we're gonna be taken care of.
But, as mentioned in another thread, Squids seems to be travelling these days and might not answer quickly.

seems, you're back, squids. Please let us know how the ST2L users from the june group buy, that got the XL upgrade with it, can get the 2.1 sounds. The registration form at IK's site rejects us because we got a ST2L serial number.

You bought from esoundz. Normally ST2L qualifies for the ST2.1L sounds (which are about half). But, we're taking care of all of our group buy and gold/platinum esoundz customers with the full 2 DVDs whether you had L or XL. That's just because I said it (you always tend to benefit from that!telebunke wrote:seems, you're back, squids. Woo Hoo!!
A few questions, will we need to keep our old ST 2 sounds on our drives, for our current projects that use the sounds, or will it install with the same names?
Will the extra sounds from other set be in a folder so we can choose not to install sounds from sets we already might have??
Will this be sent to us automatically? or will we have to register?
I was so excited about this, but had to sort of shelve my enthusiasm. This has been a long time coming. Now I'm all excited again.

Absolutely fantastic Squid!
How do we go about getting it ordered etc?

We're talking about computing here. Unless the 2.1 soundset is made ofharmony gardens wrote: A few questions, will we need to keep our old ST 2 sounds on our drives, for our current projects that use the sounds, or will it install with the same names?
a) 4.5 GB of 100% unchanged sounsets plus
b) 2GB of new sounds
it will be a good idea to keep them both, e.g. place the new sounds in a folder named ST2-1 sounds or something similar.
My estimation is that even if they were working hard to be able to replace the old sounds, it's a tough job to do if they changed them for improvement purposes. It seems safe to me to keep the old ones on the HD.
But that is just my guess and maybe I'm wrong...

So do the customers that purchased the XL upgrade get any bonus perk? As ST2L owners, we were told that the sound upgrade would cost us $99 unless we upgraded to XL. So we struggled and hustled to upgrade to XL. Now you are saying that the sound upgrade is for everyone? I feel cheated. And my account still says Im only registered to ST2L. What is up with that?Squids wrote:You bought from esoundz. Normally ST2L qualifies for the ST2.1L sounds (which are about half). Same here. I thought "I" was going crazy. I guess they took the link off for now. I was under the heading "More links and resources" on this page I think.....Hybernation wrote:I filled out the form last week. now I've been all over the site multiple times, and I cannot find the link! gone?phoenix224 wrote:

If you owned ST2L or XL before ST2.1 was announced then you can pay $99 and get the sound part of the upgrade (software part of the upgrade is free for everyone). If you bought ST2XL after ST2.1 was announced then you get the sound upgrade for free (just have to pay shipping). If you bought the ST2L to ST2XL upgrade for $99 (regardless of when you originally bought your ST2L in the first place) from esoundz during the period of time we were offering it then you can get the ST2.1 sounds from esoundz without having to pay an additional $99.
Remember, you don't have to spend a dime if you are an ST2L or XL user if you simply want to get the new software when it is available for download. It gives a lot of great new features for nothing.
