I got Kriminal's basses, and use them in Kontakt, they are a charm, really. Synth basses (in case you search for "the real bass"), but you can do manymany things with them.
And I have some free soundfonts, for example from the page Gregjazz mentioned.

Check out electronisounds new PRODUCERS VAULT soundfont DVD-ROM collection - not free, but an incredible array of all new sounds (including some SERIOUSLY deeeeep multi-sampled basses!
