Is there any? I need to tell the combs "play this chord for me".

The one I search needs to be a VST, maybe a DX will do also but prolly better if its a native vst..

Macomate88 is a playable comb filter, up to 88-note polyphonic. Perhaps not efficient at 88 note polyphony (since all 88 combs will run at the same time, hogging CPU), but 12-24 comb filters in parallel isn't too CPU demanding.

thanks autloc, I tested it. Almost what I'm looking for .. when I got around how to actually use it (almost blew my tweeters off GRR!)

I think I'm looking for a comb which filters would follow the corresponding key in hz's.. is ohmygod just this kind?

One that hasn't been mentioned (but is extremely good) is Brush.

It comes in both an effect and instrument version (both are included). If you like comb filters, it's well worth the price :D

Why not just use a vocoder?

ew, thank you, will try the demo tonight.

vocoder doesnt do the trick, I've tried it ;-)

Because it doesnt do the same thing.

BTW I suspect Oli Larkin's forthcoming PolyComb will do what the OP wants as well.

oli larkin s dronebox can do it. but it seems to be offline (probably because version 2 is coming one of these days).

you may need to split the midinotes to different channels. i wrote a vst for that. contact me if you need it.

Post

yes, polycomb was made for this exactly.
