My gearlust is at an all-time low, I'm banging out track after track (not all market-ready but I couldnt care less).

This marks the end of a lenghty lull for me, maybe it was all pent up inside :scared:

How long it will last I can't tell...

Just wanted to share this cos I had myself down for a born procrastinator.

Some might even say that you do not want what you haven't got.

nothing compares to that feeling..

Likewise. I view every new product announcement as an attack on my musical productivity and happiness. No more do I covet the latest console EQ emulation or vintage synth bundle.

I figure I can get 99% of what I need from ES2 and Ultrabeat and creative use of basic effects. Unloading all my NI stuff really paid off too.

some of the most logical thinking (ignore that hint of a pun because it wasn't intentional) that i've seen here at kvr in a while.

I have had it since I bought Tracktion almost a year ago.

I have always found the 'my workflow, my workflow, I need this feature now!!!' sort of mentality kind of confusing.

But then, I remember when all I had was a cassette four track and an SM58, so its probably all in the perspective.

Post

9 out 10 kvr threads contain a reference to tracktion (just kiddin)

I shoulda sung my response "Nooooooooooooooooooooothing compares,

...and small [VST folder size, that is!] is beautiful because when it comes to a VST gearlist, size doesn't matter.

there, i think i've unloaded enough cliches [and those "oooh-i'm-sure-i'll-be-using-that-synth/FX-one-of-these-days" VSTs from my VST folder] for one day.
