I was browsing the Emu site, and happened upon their vintage synth collection for Emulator X. For three CDs they are charging two hundred bucks. The mp3 demos sound cool to me, and I'm sure some work went into programming, but I thought for two hundred bucks I might be able to rent a Minimoog, MS20, etc. If this is a reasonable assumption then what place in the San Diego would you recommend for renting.
I appreciate any sort of suggestions regarding this matter.

most music stores will rent out mst of their used gear, find out who locally has what you're looking for...

Really? That would be pretty convenient as their is a good amount of stores in the area.
Do studios usually rent out? Do you think they would let me sample the synths in the studio and take home the waves on a DVD or portable hard drive?
