So? Is it acknowledged or not? Will FL6 support PDC?

PDC will be available (both Pre-delay and Post-delay) in the mixer to cater for both effects and generators (plugins) that cause delay.

It's documented in the new helpfile (available on LoopTalk if you're a registered user), so you might want to wait until the FL6 demo comes out and you can check it out.

only if you have a particularly bad sense for timing
My other host is Bruce Forsyth

from what i've read on the forum they we're testing some plugins wich cause delay and we're talking about some kind of half-automatic pdc - but i'm not sure about anything (i have an UAD and i hope they will offer something)

Post

Really? PDC in FL Studio? That's great... I thought it wouldn't happen until version 10+ :)

Will be useful for adding those Impulse reverbs now and then 8)

a uad? it's a dsp accelerator card with proprietary fx.

They introduce a rather large delay into the audio signal, so it would be nice for fruity users to have fruity automaticaly compensate for this to keep everything in sample accurate sync. Hope that helps.
You could of just told him to "google" it

BTW, the PDC implementation in FLS6 will not be automatic, more like a semi-automatic. I just scanned through their Help file from Looptalk, and the explanation is that Host will determine the sample delay of the plugin. Than, its up to you to route every single other mixer channel to another one where you set delay compensation. But, what happens if you are using multiple plugins that require different delay compensation? How do you handle that?

oh that's actually no advance for uad-users - cause there's already an delaycomp plugin included

Is PDC useful for people who play live, e.g., using the VST host as a musical instrument? I'm not clear on the concept, and I think the reason is, any plugin that causes the kind of delay that PDC would fix, is pretty much useless to me.
