Lichens

I'm listening to a track by Lichens on the Kranky podcast (thanks Brainwashed for sending it along with the regular podcast) and I'm just stunned by the beauty of this.
It's from the album The Psychic Nature Of being, which was recorded in one go- just layered voices, bits of acoustic guitar, pretty lo fi and insnely beautiful.
Hmmm, lo fi psychedelic drones, that would be an appropriate description.
I understand he's in TV On The Radio, too. Very different, then.

The best part of Lichens are the vocals, Lowe has a pretty deep voice and the resulting loops are like a cross between Frippertronics and Demetrio Stratos's solo albums.
