Hello everybody.
I have a problem here.
I have a track with midi percussion notes. It is a "Agogo" pattern that goes through the entire song. So there is the high pitch notes and the low pitch notes right? Very well.
What I want to do is to select all the high pitch notes only, at once , and move them to another pitch (in the Piano Roll view). But when I do this, the other notes (the lower pitch ones) move as well even though they are not selected. They go to an entirely different position. I already tried lots of things, like moving them throught the "Note Properties" dialog box, typing a new pitch in the little box, but it only affects one note of the entire selection. Is there a way to do this? What am I missing here?
Hope I made myself clear enough....
Thanks guys!!

I mean...
Is there any other way of selecting a GROUP of notes and move them vertically in the piano roll without affecting the unselected notes?

Just double checked in Sonar 3PE - if you double click a MIDI clip, the Piano Roll opens and all notes in the clip are automatically selected. In this situation it's necessary to click in open space to ensure that you deselect these notes before performing any other selections. You should be able to move a single or group of notes without affecting non-selected items.
Just to be sure it's not a bug, you should have version 3.1.1. If not, go get the update from Cakewalk's Sonar Support page.

Yes buddy, I also find this very strange. It shouldn't be this way at all. I am starting to think that it is a bug indeed. I am going to make the upgrade like you suggested to check if the problem go away. I was thinking of upgrading to a version 4 anyway.
Thanks again Collusion!!!

Does it happen too if you select the events clicking on the names in the left pane?

Hey 3mph....guess what?
I upgraded to Sonar 4 PE and it seems that the problem is gone!! On the previous version I owned it happened even if I made the selection as you described, clicking on the names, but now I am able to perform the move. I guess that was really a bug? What is that anyways?
Well, thanks Collusion for the help and 3mph for the interest!!!
Cool!!!
