why not, eh? no credit to me except for the coding.. the idea came from a post by JackDark, suggested to me by vurt, and obviously based on Mr. Eno's creation.

Two buttons: load deck and ???. The deck you load will be remembered for next time, provided the file stays in the same place, so you only need to load a deck when you fancy a different deck. just click the ??? button to get a random new suggestion.

Most importantly, TRUST THE CARD!

There are 3 example oblique deck files included. I have literally just copied and pasted these from the oblique strategies website as examples. I've not proof read them, and some have crappy formatting! You can edit them yourself, they're just XML files with an .odk extension. Feel free to make your own decks of course! I've included an editor program in the zip.

Awesome! I've been hoping for one of these. I just read an interview somewhere with someone who worked with Eno and was asked "did Eno ever use the oblique strategies decks," to which the response was "never."

..So where's the speech synthesis part? I want this thing to talk to me - at least a Text to MIDI so that I can feed it into a synth, or use the CC stream to alter an effect!!!!

Freeware should do more than any darn pay-to-play VST! What are you doing releasing alpha software to us!!

i wonder if anyone will end up making their own decks? that could be quite interesting

perhaps i will make a deck editor just to make it slightly more likely
