Anyone know any except waves L2/L3 and except sonar 5? I.e. I'm really after a vst plugin that does the 3 pow-r curves.

thanks in advance

Have you looked into Ozone? It's not the Pow-R dither, but I hear the dither in Ozone is also highly regarded.
I'm sorry this post wasn't about techno.

waves don't use pow-r, they have their own idr. samplitude uses pow-r too.

Post

Fair enough. Any ideas as to vst plugins offering pow-r in particular?

Post

I don't think there are any. I think the licensing for Pow-R is probably so expensive that only the big name sequencer manafacturer's can afford it.

Logic has it as well, and has for years.

I don't think either, not in VST format. In TDM, yes or built in a software like WaveBurner Pro (eBay?).
Ndct.

Thanks for the heads up.

Logic has had it for years??? but the question is who has had Logic in years? certianly not me and most of ppl here either go for T2 or Cubase or Sonar even but Logic? its the least most popular sequencer on the market.

Ummm... sure. Out of my four friends that I talk to consistently, they all use Macs, and three out of the four use Logic (one uses Cubase more than Logic.) Before I switched to Cubase 2 years ago, I used Logic. We still have quite a few stragglers on here that use Logic 5.5 on the PC still.

I read somewhere that IzotopeOzone3 has MegaBitMaxUltra (called MBIT+ here ?!).
If it is true, this is probably the best dither algorithm currently available.
See here for dither test results:

Thanks for the link. What worries me a little is the difference in the resutls there to my own preference (like the soundforge, uv22hr, powr3 results).
But either way, time to look at ozone 3.

thanks

The blackmarket?

Do you honestly not know how huge Logic is?

Wow.
