Video synchronization plugin

Are there any VST plugins around that can play video files?
It would be quite useful to have a plugin that would show a video, and base the video playback position on the song position, as communicated by the host. Anyone come accross something like that?
Or even, as a first step, just a simple plugin that would convert the song position into frame numbers or other time formats based on some user input, and display them numerically...

Just for the record, I guess FL Studio's Fruity Video Player qualifies since FL can be loaded as a VST.

I own the FL video player and I'm currently scoring for a 90 min video, the player works very good as I have ALL the movie loaded into FL alongside the audio which is a huge ammount of data. I also loaded around 600mb of orchestral soundbanks, everything works like a charm, the CPU barely reports 40% on a busy part so I feel very confident about working like this on FL studio.
By scrubbing you mean hearing audio as you scrub? You can't do that, but if you set FL snapping to "none" you can scrub into the video quite smoothly, for example to find that exact spot where you want a sound.

FL 6 will come with "chrome" which is a realtime 2D / 3D VJ'ing plugin, you can link almost any visual parameter to FL or any other host sequencer linked via rewire or VST / DX. I'll not say chrome is the ultimate VJ'ing tool, is very cool so far, but the future will make it better.

I think the FL player supports any standard frame rate.
I could load mov files even if the Vplayer load dialog says that is not supported.
