We were hit with a major hurricane called "Wilma". Katrina's cousin and she was a bitch! Luckily we just got power back and life, business, music and KVR (not necessarily in that order) can go on. I have to say we had some close calls. The doors almost flew open at my home and I had to hold them closed with rope for over an hour. Squids PAIN! I kept thinking I was going to go flying any moment. It was like fighting a monster alien.

Major damage around here. Luckily not a scratch on the SR office (knock on wood), although not a leaf on a tree (or a branch or a root in the ground) in sight.

We had no power and no phones up until now (and actually most of Florida still doesn't, we just got lucky I guess). Any orders on esoundz will go out starting Monday. Sorry for the short delay.

I did miss you guys. Although, unfortunately the first thing I had to do was delete a post slamming us about customs shipping to Canada. Despite the "welcome to SR forum" thread where we state that we don't allow international shipping details (or personal order details either such as "your price' which can be different for each esoundz member for variables like membership level, epointz and other things potentially) to be discussed in our forum, someone did it anyway and conveniently at a time where we couldn't moderate (although Kim could have). All I can say to that person "BH" is, please don't post in our forum if you are going to be disrespectful. If you want to be a customer of somewhere else then we bid you farewell and best of luck to you.

Okay, enough about that. We're just happy to be alive right now? Kind of puts things into perspective. You can't please everyone in business all the time. We do our best and we do care quite a bit about customer satisfaction and balance things as best we can to make the customers happy.

Cheers all. Talk to you again soon. Let me see what else is going on. I am downloading only 250 emails! ;)

Glad to hear you're safe, Squids. The thought of that aweful storm blowing away you and your vintage keyboards is too frightening to contemplate!! Carry on! Whew!

I'm glad your all doing ok. I've got a friend who lives in southern Browerd, out toward 75, and he has decided to visit family in Orlando for a few days. He said things around him were getting a little crazy.

I hope things settle quickly.

It would have been easier if you'd been prepared to let go of the microphone you were using to sample the noise and used both hands on the doors - one of these days that "sample everything" philosophy of yours is going to get you into real trouble :hihi:

Joking apart - glad you are all safe and sound. I know us Brits like to moan about our weather but you guys seem to get a whole year's worth in 24 hours!

Regards,

Derek.

Flying Keys sounds like a great name for a Virtual Instrument. :)

Squids, glad to hear you made it through veritably okay. Glad to hear that Esoundz withstood things too. Good thing you seem to have a pretty solid building for the business.

That's quite an image of having to stand there holding your house door for an hour.

Glad to hear you came through alright, can't imagine being in a hurricane, we get the (very) odd twister where I live and although they can be very destructive the actual shitting in my pants time is only a minute or so, s'gotta be tuff hangin' in there for an hour or so.

Yes, the business building is solid. My house is too, but the problem was the double doors in the front. The little pin that holds one door to the ground came up somehow and it was like a scene from Poltergeist! I was holding the door (practically bleeding) and gusts of wind would pull the door out and you'd hear it creak like it was going to break in two (and Squids go flying... bye bye!). Scary stuff. I am not a religeous man (or at least not following organized religeon anyway... I do have a belief system of my own) but at this point I was praying to Jesus, Buddah, Moses and even L. Ron Hubbard if he was available to help out at the time. ;) Just kidding. Although I WAS sort of praying in my own way.

But, anyway, not a drop of water got into the esoundz building. We have back up stock elsewhere in case that happened anyway though. We're prepared because ummm... we are used to hurricanes here. That said, this was the worste one in this county for 50 years! It is like a war zone out there too. Like War of the Worlds? I have to go fight for some gas now. But, at least we have power and water.

Interesting thread to ask that in... but, you can request that you are taken off the mailing list I believe. Contact IK? I can't do anything about it if that is what you are asking. ;)

theres no 'remove me' link in the mail, and i have no idea why i get them, dont recall asking for them...

So how much more of this do you think you may have to deal with this year? Don't you have another month to go before the hurricane season is officially over? :(
