Compared to loading the loop into an Audio clip in the host.
At the default volume setting in LiveSlice are the sound levels reduced? If so could this level be the actual sample volume then we could add some gain.
Q - playback seems a bit quiet to me

yes, just click on the vol-env and you'll see that they aren't fully set to max. you can click on "lock" and set them to max to get the sample volume.DarkStar wrote:At the default volume setting in LiveSlice are the sound levels reduced?
imo i wouldn't like that. as soon as you use more than one or two loops in one arrangement you get clipping very fast (assuming you use the same outs for every loop). i think the volume settings are fine right now.DarkStar wrote:If so could this level be the actual sample volume then we could add some gain.

I agree the 80% volume (or whatever the default is) works out well in the long run. To quickly adjust volume up to max for every slice, set both max and min values of the random range to 100% and hit randomize.

Guys, thanks for the info.
I used the Lock and Drag the volume bar to raise the volumes. As you said when you have >2 loops playing then clipping can easily set in.
I'll do some more exploring.
