i've been using the receptor more as a guitar processor lately. one feature that most guitar processors include is a guitar tuner. ideally, this could be used live. so, having the tuner capability available via the lcd display would be ideal. this is where simply adding a vst tuner plugin is not a good solution.
what do you think?

It depends on the plug-in. If a tuner plug-in implements the faceless UI correctly, it might have 6 parmeters, and the value of the parmeter would be zero when the string is in tune, a positive value when the string is too hight, and negative when too low.
So you would press the EDIT button, then use the top knob to choose the parameter (the string) and watch the numbers go up and down.

Personally, I wouldn't want that on my Receptor. I've always used a hardware tuner for performing. The last thing I'd need is to be fiddling with knobs on stage when I can just look down at my mic stand and see the tuner. Plus the VST version probably can't capture a key to tune to (like if you're playing with a house organ or piano that's a semi tone off key or whatever).DanTimis wrote:It depends on the plug-in. I dunno, different strokes for different folks, I guess.
Death to all dongles!
