Hi guys,

I've played with SoundForge in the past so I know they've got this nice panning effect, but can't seem to find this in Cubase SX 3.

I would like to do simple pan perhaps like this: -

Left Input: Adam Lewis
Right Input: Adam Lewis

Left Ouput: Adam
Right Output:<silent> Lewis

I can't seem to find this functionality within Cubase SX 3. Appreciate if someone could recommend me a plug-in that could help me pan graphically (Where I can mark 'Adam' as left and 'Lewis' as right)

The more complicated effect that I would also like is: -
Left Input: Adam Lewis
Right Input: Adam Lewis

Left Ouput: Adam dam <space> wis wis
Right Output: <space> dam dam Le wis wis (softer till fades)

Someone in the Cubase forum recommends me Ping Poing delay and possibly Double Delay. Any comments there?
Warm regards,
- Jess

Sounds like a cue for automated panning :)

Mate you've stumbled onto the holy grail of delay missing functonalities.

If all the delay had this kind of sound mangling power-we would all be Kings. Instead you have to pretty much
do everything by hand like they did in the 70's - yes the old fashioned way.

You have to treat the tracks separately and delay them with feedback and only then mix the two together - except in opposite directions.

This is dead easy to do in cubase sx3 with the graphical pan envelope.
Go on and read the manual, its all there.

RavenSmith...holy grail?! I remember stuff like Soundforge and WaveLab would do just that...but not within a sequencer like Cubase, huh?

Olepro,
"graphical pan envelope"?! What, all I found is a effect which silences/fades the audio track.

Pls specify which one.
