Livecut help

i'd like to try this thing out if only i knew how to apply it in sonar.

i insert it on a track, like other fx, add an envelope on the wave and choose stutter. i can see it kick in on the gui (stutter numbers chg from zero) but there's no sound.

i'm missing something with this type of plugin. anyone familiar with this in sonar?
