A very very excellent player for all types of audio media is the freeware FOOBAR2000 - http://www.foobar2000.org/
It supports mp3, ogg, flac, and LOTS of other types.
I think most will remember the old debates I would have (read: flamefests) with people who refused to listen to OGG files if they didn't work automatically in their player.
Foobar is the player that would help spread more and more music to people who deserve it (read: pinko commie bastards)
