any one know how much is apple selling the aducational version and if it is upgradable to 7.1.1 ?

AFAIK, you can't get the upgrade to Logic Pro 7.1 on educational discount. The upgrade cost me £13.99 ( dunno what that is in other currency) and yes, I believe you can download the free 7.1.1 upgrade to that from their website.

If I recall correctly, when I ordered 7.1, I actually got 7.1.1. And yep, no edu discount. $300 (200?) upgrade for a $500 program. Oh well.

If I'm not mistaken, the educational discount is 50% on retail. You may be eligible to extra discount if your university has some special agreement with Apple - mine has (TVU). Also, I think you'll get 7.1 anyway if you order at this point or at least that's what I've been told at the uni.
