HELP ! SYS EX OR WHATEVER...

Sorry, I have Cubase SX now, and I don´t know why it is so different to 5.1: I am talking about the real time recording.

I have done a baseline in cubase sx, I start electron, start the XY window to move the sliders - record that line in realtime -> I start record -> the sequencer starts BUT the sound turns off, and doesnt record my movings on the XY panel.

I went to my Midi Filter....hmm...Sys Ex is in there..I changed I took out whatever = nothing.

I need support. Muon, could you send me a desktop print of your cubase SX Midi Filter settings ? okay@my-email.ch It´s urgent I wanna do some recordings with electron today, and realtime recording slider is the thing I am living from.

Or anyone who could tell me step by step what I have to do, check, forgot ???

I'm not fully up to speed on Cubase SX yet, but here goes.....

Bring up Electron's editor - you'll see two little buttons in the strip at the top, one labelled R (read) and the other labelled W (write). Click the "W" button, and it will glow red. SX will add a track called "VST automation" to the current folder. Now go into record mode, and play with the XY controller.

Once you are done, click on the R button so it glows green, and click again on the W button. Play back the riff again, and your changes will be recorded. If you want to edit the envelope you recorded, just drill down in the folder track and you'll be able to access the data there.
