A super-duper stereo-enhancement/chorus/widefield delay plug.

OctoEcho is an array of eight delay units. Four for the left stereo channel, and four for the right. Each delay unit has it's own specific modulation and feedback knobs for individual tweaking. Also included is a vector interface which can be initiated to control the modulation and feedback settings for each delay unit globally and simultaneously. This vector control is fantastic for live tweaking purposes, as well as for "luck of the draw" tunings. There are also toggles for other nifty things, such as "Spacial-Reverb" and dynamic headroom clipping. OctoEcho comes with a suite of 16 presets all specifically designed to be immediately useful, but to really understand the glory of OctoEcho, you simply must tickle it yourself.

It does stuff like this and this.

You can get the demo version and try all the presets out, or even buy the full plug for $10, here.

In case you're not familiar with the way I do my GUIs, the reason it's so "blank" is because each control is tooltipped, which means if you hover your mouse cursor over a control for a few seconds a description of what said control does will pop up. -Just thought I'd mention that.

Those demos sound pretty out of control. 8)

I was starting to think you had given up on the whole darkware thing these days.... No hentai, but it will do ...

Thanks for the new plug (and all the rest)!

Nay! I had a two month break due to the dreaded "real life" is all.

Tip of the iceberg, promise.

The demo doesn't seem to output any sound in FLStudio. Sending a sample through I get nothing (unless I hit the bypass button).

does it work, while FL is playing? some fx require transport information to be sent, to do their thing.

Post

I could no sound out of it (other than hitting the bypass) no matter what I tried (various plugin settings in the FL menu). Lemme play a bit more, but atm, nothing...

EDIT: ok, I got it to work by disabling the effect in the FL mixer (while playing), then re-enabling in the mixer...

The first preset that loads when you run OctoEcho is "CLEAN SLATE" which has no affect on the sound whatsoever, because it is a clean starting point. The other 15 presets all do stuff however, so maybe that has lead to some confusion?

Other than that, sometimes FX in FL will not initialize immediately when you load one through the mixer, this has happened to me plenty of times with other FX. Usually a simple stop and restart of the sequencer will cause the effect to start working.

Please let me know anyone who tries it out if you can't get OctoEcho to work in your host, I've tested the full and demo versions and both are working fine for me... :?

All of my FX require transport information BTW.

i tried out the demo in FL 5, and it worked fine. sounds good, nice and crazy effect.

I definately tried different presets. Like I said, it works, but for me, only after turning off the effect via the mixer, than re-enabling it. I played around with the reset on transport option as well.

my steps:

Load FLStudio
Load a sample into a channel
Add OctoEcho to the channel
Change preset to 2nd preset
Play on transport. At this point there's no sound
Disable OctoEcho in mixer.
Re-enable in mixer. At this point I get sound, indeed effected.

Cool vst, btw.

Looking forward to trying this out Jack....you haven't disapointed yet!

Just wanted to say thanks to blue on blue, OzoneJunkie, and LiquidClear for the feedback. :)

Glad to help anyway I can. I did a recent purge of my VST-Plugins-Free collection recently, and your set survived :) Good stuff.

This thing is nifty! I love how it can blur the linie between delay and reverb
