The wife wants me to edit a "midi sequence" file for use on her phone so I wish to convert it to wav to edit then convert back, I don't have a clue as to what a midi sequence file is, can anyone tell me how this can be converted to wav and which program I might be able to use for this please? Thanks.
ps. If there any other way to edit this file, then please post.

MIDI files only contain instructions on how to play sounds, so you can't convert them to wav files - you can only get the MIDI file to trigger something that produces sounds and then capture the output as a wav file. Once you have the wav file you can't do much editing to it, and you can't convert it back to a set of instructions on how to play a MIDI instrument.
What you could do is find a MIDI editor that will play the MIDI file back so that you can hear it trigger instruments and edit it directly and then save it. Look at the link on the left for "Instruments, Effects, Hosts, etc." and find a downloadable host that you can edit MIDI in.
