I'm watching their final performance together on TV right now and I'm probably one of the few people here who is sad to see them break up.

I like Destiny's Child. I had no idea they were breaking up! But I like Beyonce more, so I'm not forlorn or anything. Too bad for Kelly Rowland and...other...

Too bad for all of them. I feel so bad for Michelle. She is like always left out and forgotten.bduffy wrote:I like Destiny's Child. I had no idea they were breaking up! But I like Beyonce more, so I'm not forlorn or anything. Too bad for Kelly Rowland and...other...
They are all strong singers and all deserve strong solo careers but so far only Beyoncé has been able to achieve that. I do NOT think Beyoncé alone is going to be able to maintain the level of success she has enjoyed. Beyoncé sounds great but she really needs the other girls. DC sounds better than Beyoncé alone in my opinion. I suspect 5-10 years from now there will be a reunion.
Beyoncé is the better song writer out of the three. I don't think Kelly writes but I know Michelle does.

Yep, the KvR bias against 'pop' music, 'black' music, 'girl' music continues.. nothing new here. if you don't like the thread why must you reply?

Oh grow the f**k up, I love Louis Armstrong and other black artists, so don't come here with that c**nty "it's coz' its black" argument. It's a waste of menial intellect.
Yes.. I am bias AGAINST pop music... but that's me, and that's not KvR. Pull your head out of your hot lil' ass.
I do like the thread. I don't like Destiny's Child. Doesn't mean I don't like the thread.

I kinda figured she (Beyonce)is an unstoppable force at this point. She really seems to have the whole "star package" thing going on, huge sales, Jay Z, all that stuff, plus she's hotter than insanity. I think she'll do fine on her own, only bad tunes could ruin her, I think.
But I haven't been following the industry as clsoely as I used to; no TV, dontcha know.
I'm sure this will be totally irrelevant when I hit post...
EDIT: oh yeah, I thought she wrote ALL their tunes, no?

Towards the end I think she did write all their tunes. But early on it was Michelle and Beyoncé and of course some outside writers. I don't know if Kelly penned anything. Which may explain why she has not been as successful. As for hotness they're all hot in different ways.
Beyoncé has a less african look which is often intepreted as being more beautiful. ...

They're all pretty good spunk material. I don't personally think they're talented though.
Just for more laughs..

Oh, indeed they're all hot (helps the success level, I'm sure). You think Beyoncé looks less african? I suppose that might explain her universal appeal, I never thought of that. She's just got a look that stops pretty much any guy(or girl, let's be fair) in their tracks.Lady J wrote:Towards the end I think she did write all their tunes. Andrew Vernon, you don't think they're talented?? Try singing one of their songs. Or dancing while you're doing it. You don't have to like someone's music to ackowledge that they're talented, I would think.
