Anyone know where to get some free or cheap siren (air-raid military style, ideally) or alarm sound fx? Or maybe even synths that do convincing imitations?

Thanks for that link Chase but thats pretty synthetic. I'm more looking for real-world. I'll try to find an mp3 for an example.

Search the page for 'air raid'. Hmm, maybe I'll just buy this one for $2

findsounds has several at 44.100kHz (more choice when you also allow 8 bit sounds).
(Much harder to find is the sound of a classic alarm clock wake up call though I recently found out to my surprise. It's all electronic buzzers these days.)

Timfonie thanks! I remember I have used that website before but I forgot about it. I found several sirens there that aren't perfect, but with a few fx should be just fineTimfonie wrote:findsounds has several at 44.100kHz (more choice when you also allow 8 bit sounds).
