I was just trying out the demo for the Goldwave audio editor and opened up their visual aides. I came across the "Blowing Inferno" view. It's really cool and provides a neat realtime cue.
What I wanted to know, from anyone using Goldwave: in the Blowing Inferno view, all the rips I analysed have very straight up-and-down edges that are limited well inside the border; my own matreial doesn't have these neat cuts. Instead, they have a gradual slope that goes all the way to the edge of the border. What is that aspect a measure of, and how can I fix my own stuff to fit like that?
Sometimes visual cues can help you find mistakes you didn't even know were there. I would really appreciate any help here. THANKS!

I really wish Goldwave had some extra features...like dithering and that they wouldn't just say 'oh it doesn't matter'..no one can hear the difference. VST support would be great too...but it's a bargain price and the analysis tools are pretty cool
