GXStack - I think it's quite good - what do you think?

There seems to be little interest in GXStack. I find this to be a bit puzzling for the price ($25 thru end of November). Why is this? I too am waiting to see how Amplitube 2 turns out, but for the money I think this sounds great. I played around with the tweed and deluxe models and they're pretty nice. Maybe most people here want the high gain sounds (which I think are pretty good also). If you like tweed, blackface, and early Marshall sounds, I would like to know what you think. I like GXStack and just bought it, so I'm just wondering if my perception of what is a good amp emulation differs from most people here.

If YOU think it's quite good, then that is all that counts. f**k everyone else's opinion.

I tried it out and it seemed kind of cold, metallic-sounding - but I don't recall if I gave it a really good workout. There are so many amp sims now, I may be getting impatient with them.

But what daExpert said it the truth, big-time.

It sounds pretty organic to me - I like the tweed and deluxe stuff that goes from clean to just breaking up. Haven't really played with the other models much. The tweed and deluxe were just what I was looking for and were well worth the asking price on their own. Maybe it makes a difference what kind of input you are using - I'm using a tube preamp. I've already bought it, so I don't need opinions for that. Just wondering why there is so little interest being shown in his product, even for $25. Are people mainly waiting for AT2, GR2, or Midiworks?

I use a VTB-1 tube pre at home, sounds wonderful on guitar. I'll give this amp a go when I'm at home where my guitar is. ;)

I don't know about this one... I downloaded it, listened and deleted it a few weeks ago... There are a lot of free amp sims, (e.g. http://207.218.248.76/~fretted/ampsims.html), that I didn't want to pay $$ for another one...
