I'm going to release a "re-synthesis" synth, and I was thinking about an idea:

It would be interesting to develop a "spectrum library":

- Take some samples from an instrument, played at different speed/note/expression, analyze them by fft and extract time/frequency spectrograms and formants.
- It would be an interesting library for re-synthesis

Yes, there are software that do this, but a direct analysis should be far better than auto-detect.
There are spectrum libraries, too (like "Shark"), but they are related to a single static note (not over time)

Library size, use (commercial/free), etc. are to be defined...

Anybody interested in a similar project?
