Hello KVR'rs.
I'm having a problem with Cubase SX 2.
To test this problem i got a click track going and recorded a midi track of me hitting c3 in time with the click. When it plays back it's a 1/32 note forward of my original recording. It's not really a problem with notes but it sucks when i've got multiple quick control tweaks going on.
I've been looking for some kind of adjustment option in the prefs but I can't find any.
I've tried changing the ASIO devices to no avail.
any advice would be appriciated. thankyou.

I had the same problem on my friends comp .. but hes back from vacation now
. Actually, it happened while playing too, but it was quite a bit more than 1/32, more like 1/8 or 1/4 even

Read the "midi port enabler" documentation. I don't remember the specifics, but there's plenty of information in there that probably can help you solve your problem.

In your Cubase installation directory, go into the "MIDI port enabler" directory. Drag the file in there (called "ignoreportfilter") one level up (so you keep it, just in case...).
Start Cubase and go into the device menu. Disable all MIDI ports labeled "emulated". Probably restart Cubase again.
That should do it.

There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.
