:help: I have a major problem on my Mac when I load an AU instrument in Logic that is authorised via PACE Interlok Extensions and/or iLOK USB key. After much investigation and although this has yet to be confirmed by PACE support, it appears that:

a) if you try to run demo software (e.g. Synful Orchestra) which is authorised via a temporary (15-day trial) InterLok Extension and if that authorisation has time expired, then it totally freezes the computer.

b) if you try to run software (e.g. MOTU MX4) which is authorised via InterLok Extension and iLOK USB key and if the authorisation on the key has become corrupt or missing, then this totally freezes the computer.

Would be very interested to hear if anyone has experienced anything similar.

Screwups like you've described sound like "typical PC Pace" issues, but this is the first time I've heard it for the Mac.

Sorry I can't be more helpful )-: I just avoid Pace.

Ditto. I'm not sure if I'm pleased or sad that PACE can f**k up a Mac as easily as a PC. :?

huh? Pace support was awesome with me (but I went through Antares and they contacted pace who contacted me)...perhaps I should just count my blessings that Ilok works fine on two machines here...:)
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.
