my furniture are hand-me-downs and/or old and worn out, most of my clothes are fraying, and i dont get out much...but i've got some really fun gear.

i've recently moved into a new place and was able to set things up in a space thats much less cramped. i was barely able to get in and out of my chair before. here are a few quick pics of the new layout. (im still wiring it back up.)

i had to take that head shot of myself for a promo package that my fathers guys were sending out for the last movie. its definitely little over the top but i figured it turned out ok considering i have very little photography experiance, none with self portraits, i had very little light to work with, and i didnt have a tripod. i sat on the floor and ballenced the camera on top of an organ stool, a pillow, and the camera bag.

Dude, you obviously aren't married.

There is't a woman alive -- at least that I've ever met -- who would allow this in their living room. Just having a tv and music system that isn't hidden from view is a major concession on their part. "Do those speakers have to be there?"

Or you are married and have found the only female willing to live with this. My wife doesn't have to worry about this, of course, because a 25-key keyboard is the only visible sign of creating music, and that's in the office with the computer.

Hmm, I just built a PC for a friend who's married and has two kids. He has the PC in their living room with POD xt Pro, two Marshall guitar amps, other various music gear and of course a midi keyboard. His wife never complains. Well, I have weird friends

neither of my two electric guitars were especially expensive (ibanez RG270, samick 17" jazz box), but both have been hot rodded with new pickups and some new hardware. they sound great and are a whole lot of fun.

Well done. That looks like a really inspiring room.

hopefully it will be. i havent had much time to attempt to write anything yet, but i do feel more relaxed, creative, and happier here. with luck that will translate into more music being written.

not only would there likely be an issue with all my music stuff in the living room, but it would probably take twice as long for me to get a vst built because the honey-do lists would take up the time.

that poor plant has been through a lot. it was in a pretty bad environment before (as was i) and it was sadly neglected. its amazing its held on for as long as it has. its a real fighter. im hopeing that with more sunlight, more frequent watering, and more music (at least according to a show i saw), i'll be able to nurse it back to health.
