pops and clicks when rendering. wtf?

i get pops anb clicks and cracks in the rendered wav (from live 5.02). the funny thing is that they sync to the tempo and even the beat of the tune (sometimes they appear over every 2 snares, or on each 4th hat), but i have yet to find a pattern. they seem pretty random. and to top it, playback inside live is flawless. only the rendered product is fcuked.

what do you think might be causing this? i haven't had this problem before ever. it kind of frustrates me.

Have you cecked at the abe's forum?
I have seen references to problems such as this there (although I have never experienced it myself) so there will likely already be a body of information on this subject which may help you narrow down the possible causes & hopefully eliminate them.

I get a similar problem with FLS if I render to 32-bit and try to play it back with a player that can't support 32-bit playback. That could be it? :shrugs:
