I just wanted everyone here to know that the Music Industry has released their official CD to help the victims of the recent US hurricanes. I'm an intern for Universal, and we're hoping to get the word out on the campaign. The CD features artists from all areas of the industry, and all the major record companies were involved in the creation of this project. Many of the tracks are previously unreleased, too. Here's the official for the "Come Together Now" industry campaign:

The net revenue from record sales go to organizations like The Red Cross and Habitat for Humanity. This is a great chance for music fans to do their part and get a great collection of songs in return.

If anyone has any questions or comments about this project, post them here. I'll check back in a bit and help out in any way I can. Please take a second to check out the site, too, though.

Thank you for that, I hope you noticed that we independent musicians here at KVR have also put together a cd for Katrina relief.

I really hope you will help our effort as well... :)
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Hey, that's awesome -- as far as I see, the more help we can provide as human beings in general, the better. It's good to see independent artists working towards the cause, too. I remember seeing video footage and pictures of the city after Katrina, what a mess. My sister, who recently got back from going to school in Tulane, was a bit frantic for a while trying to get ahold of old friends that still lived there.
