So due to the probelms with multi envelopes not working in 4.04, and coinciding with a Bindows problem, I've done a full reinstall up to 4.02.

however, the audio stops after 14ms according to the clock in Sonar, with all the same setup as I had before.

So I decided I should uninstall Sonar then reinstall it again, incase something went wrong the install.

I did Start>Cakewalk>Uninstall Sonar etc, and it said Sonar has been uninstalled and is no longer in the Start menu.

however, when I double click the Sonar icon on Desktop or in the wee bit in the bottom left whatsitcalled , up loads 4.02, all still there... wtf? I don't want to waste time and reinstall it if all the original files are still there...

Do I have to do a full windows reinstall again?

A clean uninstall (which I usually run from Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs) should take out the desktop icon as well. The only thing it left when I uninstalled 2 after installing 4P was a directory with a couple of ini-file type things.

Was Sonar running when you ran the uninstall? (Probably not, but I thought I'd ask anyway).

I used the uninstall in the start menu rather than the control panel one, perhaps that was the prob. Sonar wasn't running, though I didn't check the task manager.

I'll try a fresh install, its the only option really. Still not sure why I could only get 14ms of playback though :?

Of course S5 might be on the cards...
