Just giving a little KVR advanced notice that we're going to be offering the ability to pre-order for the 6 volumes of Miroslav Orchestra refills at some point today on www.esoundz.com These were announced several months back around AES time. They are based on the expanded Miroslav Orchestra and Choir sample collection that was used for Miroslav Philharmonik except it is done for Reason 3 with unique Combinators.
These are some of the best orchestra samples ever released for Reason. Plus the price is highly affordable ($149. Map each). Enjoy!

As Philharmonik is a plugin (that won't work in Reason) and as these are Refills (that can only be used in Reason) it would seem to me* to be mutually exclusive unless you own both Reason and a host to wire Reason to.autodafe wrote:SO what exactly is the diference with Miro ?

* I originally wrote "it stands to reason" but realized that was a bad pun.

If you only had reason or have reason and only want parts of miro...buy the refills. I'm sure esoundz will have a deal on buying all of them and 149 is MSRP.
But if you can use Miro as a plug, use the crossgrade...big time discount!

Actually $199 is MSRP each and MAP is $149 (the price they'll usually sell for). But, they are each dedicated to a specific group such as String Ensembles, Choirs, Solo Strings, Brass, Woodwinds...beergeek wrote:If you only had reason or have reason and only want parts of miro...buy the refills. I had the opportunity to test some of the material here and I'll say this much... if the solo instruments and some of the full orchestra patches are any indication, these ReFills are going to rule! The integration with Reason 3's new features like the combinator was intelligent and intuitive. I found the sounds themselves to be very usable, not only in their timbre but with the range of articulations available (as well as multiple recordings of some articulations so you don't get phasing if you wanted to double something). And this is coming from someone who owns VSL, QLSO, various Roland orchestral sampler discs, GPO etc.

Probably won't be doing them as capsules. But, that doesn't mean we won't do other formats in the future. We'll see. Preorders will be open on Monday.

I am VERY interested in these refills but $900 is a bit steep and makes me want to cry.
Is there the smallest chance of a bundle offer that would bring the pricing more in line with the miro plugin instrument?
What is there that justifies an extra $300 should you want all the samples, are the little combinator tricks and programming all really worth that?
