HELP !!! I keep losing midi signal on certain channels...

I'm using Cubase 5.1 on an Intel P4 3.0 with 2 gigs of DDR ram.

At random while building a project, I seem to lose midi connection. Most commonly on channel 3 and up.

For example. I will be using cnhannel 1 and 2 for for something, then open channel 3 with a VSTi, and it works fine...then for some reason...it just stops working. I go back to channels 1 and 2, and those are still fine, but 3 and on seem to just....stop working.

According to the transport-bar, i'm still getting midi in & out...but nothing is happening.

Anyone have any help? Please...Its drivin me crazy.

what is your midi in (ie keyboard/usb controller)? is it set to omni (output midi on all channels)?

I've got a Roland EG-101 that i'm using as the keyboard...and an M-Audio Trigger Finger connected via USB. Didn't used to have this issue. And can't think of anything that i have changed. As far as i know, both are set to OMNI.
